Can Tho University is a top university in Vietnam with a high reputation in the field of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, which since 2013 has been a partner of Airlangga University under the auspices of ASEAN Fisheries Education Network (ASEAN FEN). So far, the cooperation with Can Tho University is realized in the form of Student and Staff Exchange, where in 2013 the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Airlangga University has sent 3 students to do an internship in the field of arthemia at the Faculty of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Can Tho University.

The arrival of 28 S-1 students, 3 S-3 students, 1 academic staff and 1 lecturer on November 10, 2017, at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine in Academic Assimilation Can Tho University – Airlangga University became one of the new breakthroughs in strengthening cooperation between the two universities are in the field of student affairs. The activity was welcomed by the Vice Dean III (international affairs), Wahju Tjahjaningsih and some representatives of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Airlangga University. The event provides an opportunity for each institution to provide information related to the management of student activities by student organizations along with its achievements in student activities then the group from Can Tho University had the opportunity to visit the laboratories at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Airlangga University.

This activity is expected to be a stimulus for cooperation activities in the field of student affairs between students of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Airlangga University with students of the Faculty of Fisheries and Aquaculture Can Tho University.
