On Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 12:00 to 13:00 WIB, the sixth edition of POLISH (Podcast in English) took place at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga. This activity is part of the English Week program organized by the PSDM Ministry of BEM FPK UNAIR. POLISH serves as an English-language podcast platform that invites inspiring speakers from faculty and student communities, aiming to create a communicative and interactive academic atmosphere in English within the faculty environment.

Episode six was hosted by Samara on the left side and Fippo on the right, as documented in the event recording. The main guest for this session was Cinta, a student ambassador for the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences and a staff member of BEM FPK UNAIR, who usually serves as one of the podcast hosts. For this special episode, she appeared as a speaker to share her experiences and insights. Cinta has been actively involved in various campus organizations and events, including the FPK Ambassador Election, MARLIN, AFISHCO, Ambassador Internship, and the Dean’s Cup, which became a focal topic of the discussion.

During the podcast, Cinta explained her role as the Person in Charge (PIC) of the Dean’s Cup, an annual inter-student sports competition at FPK UNAIR. She described the sports categories included, such as futsal, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and E-Sports (Mobile Legends). In a recent innovation, she introduced two additional categories—chess and e-football—to accommodate more student interests and broaden participation. The discussion highlighted her initiative, leadership, and creativity in expanding the scope of campus activities to be more inclusive and engaging.

Cinta also shared her strategies for balancing her extensive organizational responsibilities with academic obligations. She emphasized the importance of weekly schedules, daily task lists, and prioritizing activities according to urgency and deadlines. Consistency in execution, effective team communication, and the ability to delegate tasks were identified as crucial skills for success. One of the biggest challenges she noted is managing overlapping events, which requires quick and precise decision-making to prevent neglecting responsibilities. She also highlighted the importance of maintaining health and achieving a balance between organizational and academic activities to remain productive without experiencing burnout.

The sixth week of POLISH provided an interactive and informative experience, conducted entirely in English as intended by the program. Participants actively engaged with the content, asking questions and discussing topics related to leadership, time management, and campus involvement. Documentation of the event was carried out for reporting and accountability purposes, ensuring that the program’s objectives were met and creating a valuable reference for future English Week initiatives.
