FPK News – As a form of efforts to improve academic reputation at the international level, the Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs of Airlangga University invited researchers in Fish Genetics and Aquaculture from the Faculty of Fisheries, Akdeniz Univeristy, Turkey. He came as an exchange staff supported financially by the European Union through the EURASTIP (European Asian Aquaculture Technology and Innovation Platform) program on October 1 until October 21, 2018.

Through the program he conducted several activities at Airlangga University including speakers at the 1st International Conference on Fisheries and Marine Sciences, speakers at the Marine Biotechnology Workshop held by Airlangga Global Engagement, giving lectures on Aquaculture in Turkey for students taking courses in Koralogi and Biology Fisheries .

In addition to the above activities, Dr. Turker also collaborated with Dr. Laksmi Sulmartiwi about Fish Anesthesia namely the influence of oregano oil on the physiological conditions of fish. So that this research is expected to become one of the best practice in the field of research at the Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Airlangga University. Overall, the Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs will always open up opportunities for foreign researchers to be able to cooperate and contribute to the achievement of Airlangga University as the world’s 500 major universities in the QS version.
