The third day of PKKMB Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, Friday (23/08/2024), became an important moment for new students to get to know the campus environment more closely through campus safari activities. This activity is designed to help new students adapt quickly and efficiently, getting to know every corner of the campus that will later become part of their academic life.
The campus safari began after morning gymnastics and breakfast together. Guided by the PKKMB committee members, new students are invited to tour the campus to get to know the various facilities available at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences. New students are introduced to classrooms, laboratories, libraries, reading rooms, and other facilities that they will use during their studies.
This activity not only serves as a physical orientation, but also as an opportunity for new students to understand the importance of existing facilities in supporting the teaching and learning process. Laboratories equipped with modern equipment and comfortable classrooms are a special attraction for new students. In addition, the faculty library which provides a variety of fisheries and marine related literature was also introduced as a source of knowledge that they will utilize.
In this campus safari, the PKKMB committee also provided tips and tricks on how to maximize the use of campus facilities. They also explained the procedures for using laboratories and how to borrow books from the library. This activity received a positive response from new students who felt more confident and ready to face the lectures that will begin in the near future.
Through this campus safari, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs hopes to create a conducive learning environment that supports the academic and personal development of new students. By getting to know the campus facilities early on, new students are expected to be able to adapt more easily and take advantage of every opportunity that exists during their studies at this faculty.
