Bagikan

On August 19 and 22, 2024, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs (FPK) Universitas Airlangga (Unair) conducted monitoring and evaluation (Monev) of student Field Work Practice (PKL) program at PT Legong Bali Nusantara. The Monev team consisted of two lecturers and three educational staff from FPK Unair.

PT Legong Bali Nusantara is a company engaged in the shrimp and fish cracker industry. During the visit, the FPK Unair team met with Mrs. Khusnul, the company’s HRD staff, who provided information related to the implementation of student PKL. Currently, there are six students from the Fishery Product Technology Study Program who are undergoing PKL in this company.

In discussions with the company, it was revealed that students have the opportunity to learn various aspects of production, from processing raw materials to packaging and distribution of cracker products. This experience is expected to increase students’ understanding of industrial processes and market needs, so that they can be better prepared to face challenges in the world of work.

This M&E activity is very important for the faculty to ensure that the PKL program runs according to expectations and provides maximum benefits for students. In addition, the results of this activity will be used as evaluation material to improve the quality of education and the relevance of study programs to the needs of the fishing industry.
