Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has officially announced 68 Golden Ticket 2026 awardees, with five outstanding candidates selecting the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK UNAIR). This achievement reinforces FPK UNAIR’s strategic role in nurturing future leaders in aquaculture and fisheries product technology while advancing sustainable fisheries development in Indonesia.
Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) formally revealed the 68 Golden Ticket 2026 awardees on Friday (March 27, 2026). The announcement was conducted in a hybrid format at the Hall, 1st Floor of the Management Building, MERR-C Campus, and broadcast live via Zoom Meeting and UNAIR’s official YouTube channel. Out of 3,855 applicants representing 1,690 schools across all provinces of Indonesia, five selected candidates chose to pursue their studies at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK UNAIR), specifically in the Bachelor of Aquaculture and Bachelor of Fisheries Product Technology programs. This milestone highlights FPK UNAIR’s growing appeal among high-achieving students nationwide and underscores its contribution to strengthening Indonesia’s fisheries and marine sector through quality higher education. The Golden Ticket pathway, part of the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), serves as a strategic admission scheme designed to recognize exceptional academic and non-academic performance, ensuring that talented students gain access to reputable institutions committed to excellence and sustainability.
UNAIR Rector, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Madyan, SE., M.Si., M.Fin., stated that the significant increase in applicants this year reflects the public’s strong trust in UNAIR’s academic quality and institutional reputation. The Golden Ticket selection process was conducted objectively using a quadrant-based mapping system that integrates Academic Excellence and Outstanding Achievements. A total of 207 students were placed in Quadrant 1 and 68 students in Quadrant 2, who were subsequently proposed as Golden Ticket recipients through the SNBP pathway. All selected candidates are currently being proposed to the National Committee for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) in Jakarta for further administrative procedures. This transparent and merit-based mechanism demonstrates UNAIR’s commitment to fairness, accountability, and quality assurance in student recruitment. It also aligns with the university’s broader mission to cultivate future leaders equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge, research competence, and ethical integrity in addressing national and global challenges.
The five candidates who chose FPK UNAIR come from diverse educational backgrounds and regions, reflecting the university’s inclusive and equitable access to higher education. In the Bachelor of Aquaculture program, the accepted candidates are Syakira Berliana Putri from SMAN 14 Surabaya (Surabaya City), Roem Hanan Azzamiyuka from MAN Kendal (Kendal), and Galuh Nuril Maulida from SMK Negeri 1 Plosoklaten, Kediri Regency (Kediri). Meanwhile, in the Bachelor of Fisheries Product Technology program, the Golden Ticket awardees are Maxlyn Ricardo Pargaulan Panjaitan from SMKN 1 Driyorejo (Gresik) and Iqbal Febriandi from MAN Kendal (Kendal). Their selection illustrates UNAIR’s dedication to expanding educational opportunities across regions while fostering academic diversity. Strengthening access to higher education through the Golden Ticket pathway supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1: No Poverty, as higher education serves as a key instrument for social mobility and improved quality of life.
