FPK UNAIR 4 February 2026 – Coordination Meeting
The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga (FPK UNAIR), held a faculty leadership coordination meeting on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. The meeting was attended by the entire faculty leadership as a strategic forum to review cross-sector performance and formulate policies and strategies in preparation for the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year.
As part of sustainable academic governance, this coordination meeting served as an important platform for inter-sectoral consolidation to ensure the faculty’s readiness in carrying out education, research, and community service functions effectively.
The coordination meeting took place at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga, involving leaders from various strategic units. The forum aimed to align faculty policies with the institutional development direction of Universitas Airlangga and the evolving challenges of higher education in fisheries and marine sciences.
Discussions focused on evaluating previous programs and ensuring readiness for policy implementation in the upcoming even semester. Participants actively contributed evidence-based inputs and recommendations derived from their respective units.
Division I – Academic Affairs and Student Services
Division I addressed academic readiness, curriculum implementation, and student academic services. Emphasis was placed on enhancing learning quality, strengthening academic evaluation, and improving adaptive student support systems.
Division II – Resources and Financial Management
Division II focused on optimizing human resources, infrastructure, and financial management. Strategies for efficiency and sustainable management of educational facilities, including laboratories and research infrastructure, were key discussion points.
Division III – Research, Innovation, and Community Engagement
Division III presented plans to strengthen FPK UNAIR’s flagship research, increase scientific publications, and integrate community service programs based on fisheries and marine science expertise. Collaboration among lecturers, students, and external partners was emphasized to support Key Performance Indicators (IKU).
The coordination meeting produced several strategic recommendations to guide faculty programs for the 2025/2026 Even Semester. These strategies include strengthening cross-unit coordination, improving academic services, and accelerating impactful research and community engagement initiatives.
Through this forum, FPK UNAIR reaffirmed its commitment to transparent, accountable, and quality-oriented faculty governance. The outcomes of the meeting are expected to serve as operational guidance for all members of the academic community in fulfilling their professional roles sustainably.
