The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga (FPK UNAIR), welcomed the 2026 Roadshow of the Center for Public Relations and Protocol (PHMP) on Tuesday, 12 May 2026. Held at Room B.302 of FPK UNAIR, the event marked a strategic effort to reinforce institutional communication governance and enhance coordination between faculty-level management and the university’s central office. Through this initiative, FPK UNAIR reaffirmed its commitment to aligning publication systems, information flow, and official protocol procedures in accordance with university standards, ensuring that academic achievements and institutional activities are communicated in a structured, timely, and professional manner.

The roadshow was conducted onsite and attended by faculty leaders and information managers within FPK UNAIR. The Dean of FPK UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Ir. Endang Dewi Masithah, M.P., was present alongside members of the deanery, Heads of Departments, Study Program Coordinators, the Head of Administrative Affairs, Subdivision Heads, and the faculty’s media center and public relations team. Representing PHMP were Dr. Pulung Siswantara, S.KM., M.Kes., Chair of PHMP, Gesang Manggala Nugraha Putra, S.S., S.A., M.Hum., Coordinator of Media and Branding, along with other PHMP members. In total, more than 30 participants actively engaged in the session. The strong attendance demonstrated a shared awareness of the importance of integrated communication management in supporting the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service—while strengthening the institution’s public presence at national and international levels.

Alignment of Publication and Protocol Mechanisms

During the presentation session, the PHMP team provided a comprehensive explanation of the mechanisms for content production, dissemination, and publication related to the university’s academic activities. The discussion covered the workflow of coverage for UNAIR News, promotional strategies through the university’s official website, and procedures for publishing content across institutional social media channels. By clarifying these mechanisms, PHMP aimed to standardize communication practices across faculties, ensuring consistency in messaging, tone, and branding. Such alignment is crucial in maintaining institutional credibility and maximizing the visibility of research outputs, community engagement programs, and academic milestones achieved by FPK UNAIR scholars and students.

In addition to publication systems, official protocol procedures became a central focus of the session. PHMP emphasized the importance of structured coordination in organizing formal events, ranging from drafting invitations and arranging event layouts to managing documentation and preparing press releases. Proper protocol management not only guarantees orderly event execution but also reflects institutional professionalism. Through this synchronization, FPK UNAIR is expected to elevate the quality of its academic events, international collaborations, and community outreach initiatives. A well-managed protocol framework also ensures that every institutional agenda is properly documented and strategically disseminated, reinforcing the faculty’s image as a reputable academic entity within Universitas Airlangga.

Interactive Discussion and Coordination Strengthening

The event continued with an engaging discussion session that encouraged open dialogue between faculty representatives and the PHMP team. Participants raised questions concerning technical procedures for submitting coverage requests, press release writing standards, faculty website management, and strategies for optimizing opinion articles and academic achievements for broader outreach. This exchange provided a valuable platform for clarifying operational details and harmonizing perspectives between the faculty and the central unit.

Collaborative Commitment to Institutional Branding Enhancement

Through the PHMP 2026 Roadshow, FPK UNAIR strengthened its collaborative commitment to integrated communication governance, ensuring that its academic excellence, research innovation, and community service contributions are conveyed systematically, transparently, and credibly to the global public. The presence of PHMP not only delivered informative guidance but also represented a concrete step toward building a more integrated communication ecosystem within the university. With improved governance and coordination, FPK UNAIR is better positioned to amplify its institutional achievements and reinforce its professional branding in the international academic landscape.
