PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia Establishes Strategic Partnership with the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at Airlangga University to Develop Excellent Human Resources in the Marine Sector

Surabaya, November 11, 2025 – In a strategic move to strengthen collaboration between industry and academia in the fisheries and marine sector, PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia officially signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK), Universitas Airlangga. The partnership marks a significant milestone in fostering sustainable human resource development and enhancing professional readiness among graduates in fisheries and marine sciences. The signing ceremony reflects a shared commitment to bridging academic excellence with industrial innovation to support the advancement of Indonesia’s fisheries sector.

The agreement signing was attended by the Vice Dean I of FPK Unair, Dr. Laksmi Sulmartiwi, and Vice Dean III, Annur Ahadi Abdillah, along with coordinators from several leading study programs, including the Undergraduate Program in Aquaculture, Fisheries Product Technology, the Master’s Program in Fisheries and Marine Biotechnology, and the Master’s Program in Fisheries Science. Representing PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia was Mr. Yang Jingyong, Senior HRD Manager. The event not only symbolized institutional collaboration but also highlighted the alignment of academic curricula with evolving industry demands. Through this partnership, both parties aim to facilitate knowledge exchange, internship pathways, research collaboration, and professional recruitment opportunities for students and alumni.

In his remarks, Mr. Yang Jingyong expressed strong appreciation for the competence and work ethic of FPK Unair graduates who have joined the company. He emphasized that the performance of Universitas Airlangga alumni has met industry expectations, demonstrating technical expertise, adaptability, and professionalism. He further conveyed hopes that the cooperation would be sustained in the long term and serve as a recruitment bridge for qualified professionals in the fisheries and marine sector. According to him, PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia is experiencing rapid expansion across several regions, including Central Java, West Java, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi, thereby increasing the demand for skilled and integrity-driven human resources capable of supporting modern aquaculture development and sustainable production systems.

Beyond the formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the event also formed part of a recruitment initiative targeting alumni from the Master’s Program in Fisheries and Marine Biotechnology and the Master’s Program in Fisheries Science. This integrated approach underscores the shared vision of both institutions to cultivate highly competitive graduates equipped with advanced scientific knowledge and industry-relevant competencies. The collaboration is expected to enhance synergy between academia and industry, strengthen applied research opportunities, and contribute to community empowerment initiatives within the fisheries and marine sector. Ultimately, the partnership between PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia and the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Universitas Airlangga represents a concrete step toward accelerating national fisheries development through the provision of globally competitive professionals and sustainable industry practices.
