Sharing Experiences of DNA Barcoding and DNA Metabarcoding Studies at a Workshop organized by Bionesia Bali

The development of molecular studies is currently very rapid and does not escape studies in aquatic biota in Indonesia. Sapto Andriyono who is one of the lecturers at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, Universitas Airlangga has succeeded in producing publications related to DNA Barcoding and DNA Metabarcoding. On this occasion, the Molecular Data Processing Workshop conducted by the NGO Bionesia, Bali invited Dr. eng. Sapto Andriyono to share some of the results of studies that have been carried out which are part of the achievement of the 14th SDGs regarding life below water.

At the end of the presentation session, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, Universitas Airlangga, which has collaborated with the Bionesian NGO, hopes to develop research networks in order to increase the molecular database of fish resources in Indonesia. “Collaboration is the key in producing quality publications,” said the Korean graduate Doctor in his closing statement.

HYEGENE AND SANITATION
This course discusses the principles and implementation of hygiene and sanitation in the aquatic product processing industry, the role and benefits of hygiene and sanitation for food safety of aquatic products, hygiene and sanitation in supporting HACCP in aquatic products.
