The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga (FPK UNAIR), recently held an inspiring offline event at Building C Room 701 from 12.30 to 13.30 WIB. The session featured speakers from the faculty and alumni who are scholarship awardees, sharing their insights, experiences, and effective strategies for obtaining scholarships. The discussion covered comprehensive information on various scholarship opportunities at both national and international levels, including tips on preparing administrative documents and writing compelling essays, strategies to enhance academic achievements early in university life, and motivational guidance to help new students build confidence in pursuing and seizing scholarship opportunities.
Through systematic and interactive presentations, this session aimed to provide students with practical knowledge and foster a spirit of independence and competitiveness among new students in developing their potential to the fullest. Beyond being an information-sharing forum, the activity also served as an initial mentoring space encouraging students to think visionary, set clear academic goals, and begin designing strategic steps toward a brighter future.
Furthermore, this initiative reflects HIMAKUA’s strong commitment to enhancing the quality of new student resources and strengthening the role of student organizations as catalysts for positive change within the academic community. By equipping new students with essential knowledge, skills, and motivation from the outset, HIMAKUA actively contributes to shaping a generation of outstanding individuals — those who are not only ready to excel academically but also capable of making meaningful contributions to society, the environment, and sustainable regional development.
