Joy and disbelief filled the faces of Thalassia Oceannore as their name was announced as Second Place Winner in Airlangga Maritime Week (AMW) 2025. The award ceremony, held at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Airlangga, became an emotional highlight for the young innovators from Malang.
Hard Work and Faith Rewarded
After presenting their project, the team had no expectations other than doing their best. Yet, their effort and dedication were rewarded.
“We were shocked and grateful at the same time. It felt like all our prayers were answered,” said one member, smiling broadly.
Their success was met with cheers and applause from participants and organizers alike, marking the culmination of their unforgettable journey.
An Experience Beyond Trophies
Aside from the recognition, what they valued most was the experience. Meeting mentors, learning from UNAIR students, and presenting their ideas at one of Indonesia’s leading universities became a milestone in their academic journey.
“Standing on the UNAIR stage was such an honor,” they shared proudly.
Inspiring the Next Generation
The story of Thalassia Oceannore stands as an inspiration for other young learners to pursue their passion and believe in their potential. For Universitas Airlangga, their achievement reflects the success of AMW’s mission—to nurture creative and resilient future leaders in the maritime sector.
