The THP Berbakat event, organized by the Arts, Interests, and Talents Division (SEMIKAT) of the Fisheries Product Technology Student Association (HIMATEKHIKAN), served as a celebration of student creativity and artistic expression within the Fisheries Product Technology Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK), Universitas Airlangga. The event took place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the FPK UNAIR campus and featured a variety of artistic performances from student representatives across the 2023 to 2025 cohorts, with each class presenting two creative works. The program began with an opening session, followed by a series of artistic showcases, and concluded with a closing ceremony and group documentation.
This year’s THP Berbakat collaborated with two other major HIMATEKHIKAN programs—Open House and the Fish Cooking Competition (FCC)—which are managed by the External Relations and Creative Economy Division. The collaboration of these three events culminated in a grand festival titled the Fishtech Career Festival (FCF), blending creativity, skill development, and student engagement into one cohesive celebration. The performances presented during THP Berbakat were diverse, including singing, acoustic music, flash mobs, and other forms of stage art. Toward the end of the event, there was a special performance by HIMATEKHIKAN, followed by a closing appearance from Prof. Dr. Endang Dewi Masithah, Ir., MP, the Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, who joined in to enliven the celebration.
Beyond serving as entertainment, THP Berbakat aimed to strengthen relationships among students, foster inter-cohort solidarity, and nurture a sense of pride in the Fisheries Product Technology Study Program. The event successfully brought together students, faculty members, and guests in an atmosphere of creativity and unity, reflecting the vibrant student culture of FPK UNAIR. Each performance showcased not only the participants’ artistic abilities but also their dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm for developing their creative potential.
Through this event, HIMATEKHIKAN emphasized that student development extends beyond academics—it also involves cultivating confidence, collaboration, and self-expression. The THP Berbakat program provided a platform for students to explore their talents, gain experience in performance arts, and celebrate the spirit of togetherness within their academic community. By integrating artistic activities with academic identity, FPK UNAIR continues to encourage its students to grow into innovative, confident, and well-rounded individuals capable of contributing creatively to both their field and society.
