Surabaya — The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga (BEM FPK UNAIR), through the Cabinet Apparatus Empowerment Division (Pendayagunaan Aparatur Kabinet/PAK), organized the Forum Sinergi Kinerja Organisasi (FSKO) on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Room C-601, Cakalang Building. Held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM WIB, the forum involved representatives from faculty-based student activity units (UKF), including Futsal, Basketball, Volleyball, and Badminton, as well as student communities Kraken Mania and Kosmik. This initiative served as a strategic effort to strengthen coordination, improve organizational effectiveness, and establish a more structured working system within the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK UNAIR).
The event began with an opening session followed by a presentation delivered by representatives of the Cabinet Secretary of BEM FPK UNAIR 2026 regarding organizational administrative procedures. During this session, participants received comprehensive explanations about proposal submission mechanisms, correspondence management, and activity reporting systems aligned with organizational standards. Through this forum, BEM FPK UNAIR emphasized the importance of systematic and educational organizational learning in enhancing students’ managerial and administrative competencies. This initiative reflects the faculty’s contribution toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by fostering capacity-building activities and strengthening organizational literacy among students.
The Cabinet Apparatus Empowerment Division (PAK) also introduced its strategic role as a liaison between BEM, student organizations, and communities in ensuring organizational sustainability and effectiveness. PAK is responsible for conducting mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation processes to support organizational performance. During the forum, PAK representatives for each UKF and community were officially assigned to enhance communication and ensure continuous assistance throughout the organizational period. This approach highlights the importance of transparent, accountable, and inclusive governance systems, which aligns with SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. By strengthening coordination and accountability mechanisms, the forum aimed to cultivate a more professional and adaptive student organizational environment.
The forum continued with an interactive discussion session involving all participants. Representatives from UKFs and student communities openly shared various challenges encountered in organizational management, ranging from administrative concerns to technical issues in implementing work programs. The discussions were conducted dynamically through a participatory approach, allowing every concern to be addressed comprehensively and collaboratively by PAK and the Cabinet Secretary representatives. The active exchange of ideas and constructive dialogue reflected the significance of partnerships and cooperation in achieving shared objectives, in line with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Moreover, the forum successfully strengthened solidarity and communication among student organizations within FPK UNAIR.
Through the implementation of FSKO 2026, BEM FPK UNAIR demonstrated its commitment not only to facilitating organizational coordination but also to creating a platform for evaluation, reflection, and continuous improvement. The synergy developed through this forum is expected to encourage the growth of student organizations that are more professional, collaborative, and competitive. In addition, the activity provided valuable experiences for students in developing leadership, communication, and organizational management skills that will be beneficial for their academic and professional futures.
Overall, the Forum Sinergi Kinerja Organisasi (FSKO) 2026 was successfully conducted and achieved its intended objectives. Through the Cabinet Apparatus Empowerment Division, BEM FPK UNAIR remains committed to organizing similar forums as part of sustainable organizational mentoring for student activity units and communities. This initiative serves as tangible evidence of the role of student organizations in building a solid, collaborative, and sustainable institutional ecosystem within the academic environment.
