UNAIR Aquaculture’s Natamandara 2025: A Series of Inspiring and Interactive Sessions

Bagikan

Surabaya – Following the official opening in the morning, Natamandara 2025 of Universitas Airlangga’s Aquaculture Department continued with a series of educational, interactive, and inspiring activities. These programs were carefully designed not only to introduce the department but also to foster togetherness, expand knowledge, and motivate freshmen as they begin their academic journey.

The first session introduced the Aquaculture and Marine Science Departments, where freshmen learned about the curriculum, facilities, and research opportunities available at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine. This session provided them with a clear picture of the academic path ahead.

The program then proceeded with the Aquaculture Talk and Discussion (ATD), featuring insights from both academics and practitioners. This session offered valuable perspectives on the latest developments in aquaculture technology and the challenges that future generations must address.

Another key highlight was the SIGMA session (Scholarship Strategies and Opportunities for Active Students), which broadened freshmen’s perspectives on the variety of funding opportunities available to support their studies.

In the afternoon, freshmen participated in Career Talks with alumni and industry practitioners. These discussions encouraged students to start considering career pathways early while inspiring them to continue striving for personal and professional growth.

To strengthen collaboration, the committee organized Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Divided into small groups, freshmen exchanged experiences, shared ideas, and developed teamwork skills that will benefit them throughout their studies.

Finally, the event concluded with a post-test designed to evaluate students’ understanding of the materials presented throughout the day. The results revealed that participants not only absorbed the information but also reflected on the importance of the sessions in shaping their academic and personal development.
