UNAIR FPK Hosts UPM Delegation for Academic Collaboration

Surabaya, June 12, 2025 – The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPK) at Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) officially welcomed a delegation from the Institute of Bioscience, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), including Prof. Zunita Binti Zakaria, Prof. Ina Salwany, and Puan Musliyana Manso. The visit aimed to strengthen academic and research partnerships between the two institutions and marked a significant milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for exchange programs and long-term cooperation.

The official visit began with a warm reception at FPK UNAIR, where faculty leadership and staff greeted the UPM delegation. The primary agenda of the visit focused on exploring strategic areas of collaboration in marine biotechnology, sustainable fisheries, and joint student and staff exchange programs. This initiative represents UNAIR’s continued commitment to expanding international partnerships and fostering global research networks, particularly in marine and fisheries science.
