Dr. Woro Hastuti Satyantini, Ir., M.Si. is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga, specializing in Microalgae Biotechnology and aquatic animal health. Her research focuses on fish and shrimp health, probiotics, immunostimulants, microalgae, laser acupuncture, bioactive compounds, and fisheries biotechnology.

Her scientific contributions emphasize the development of innovative health management strategies for aquaculture, particularly through the application of probiotics, immunostimulants, and functional feed technologies. She actively develops microencapsulated probiotic feeds and health-enhancing technologies to improve shrimp farming productivity and sustainability.

Dr. Woro has contributed extensively to academic and professional communities, including serving as a speaker and trainer in aquaculture industry programs. She was a keynote speaker at The 8th International Conference on Fisheries and Marine Sciences in conjunction with The 6th International Conference on Biotechnology and Food Sciences (Bali, 2025) and has delivered training programs at the Technical Training Center Sobo, Suri Tani Pemuka, Banyuwangi.

She is also the holder of a copyright-protected innovation entitled “Application of Immunogenic Membrane Protein of Zoothamnium penaei as an Immunostimulant” (Registration No. EC00201988508).
