On Friday, November 21, 2025, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga (FPK Unair), officially concluded the THP Merchandise program—an initiative led by the Creative Economy Division of HIMATEKHIKAN 2025. Held from October 20 to November 21, 2025, the program was designed to reinforce the identity of students in the Fisheries Product Technology Study Program (THP) while enhancing organizational professionalism and accessibility to official student association attributes. Through a structured and well-coordinated process, the initiative demonstrated strong student engagement and contributed to the sustainability of organizational programs within FPK Unair.
The THP Merchandise program was organized at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga, involving committee members and students in coordinated planning, administrative documentation, and distribution activities. The initiative followed a comprehensive workflow that began with merchandise concept formulation aligned with the visual identity and values of the Fisheries Product Technology Study Program. This was followed by an open pre-order system to ensure efficient production planning and demand-based inventory management. Once orders were collected, the committee proceeded with vendor coordination, production monitoring, quality control assessment, and final distribution to students who had completed their purchases. The structured implementation reflects a professional organizational management approach that aligns with academic values of accountability, transparency, and strategic planning within higher education institutions.
Throughout the implementation period, the program successfully produced and delivered merchandise tailored to student needs. A total of 44 official association jackets and 132 PDH (Practical Field Uniforms) were manufactured, along with more than 200 additional merchandise items, including lanyards, tote bags, keychains, and stickers. Production generally proceeded smoothly; however, a delay occurred in completing the association jackets due to high production demand at the selected vendor, resulting in a slight shift from the original production timeline. Despite this challenge, the organizing committee maintained active communication and close monitoring to minimize distribution impact. Student enthusiasm exceeded initial projections, as reflected in the high volume of orders and broad participation from both new students and association board members. This positive response underscores the importance of official attributes in fostering academic belonging, collective identity, and pride among students within the Fisheries Product Technology community.
With the completion of distribution on November 21, 2025, the entire THP Merchandise program was declared successfully implemented in accordance with its initial objectives. Beyond strengthening student identity through official merchandise provision, the program also generated financial revenue totaling IDR 3,960,000. These funds have been allocated to support the continuity of HIMATEKHIKAN’s future work programs, reinforcing the principle of financial sustainability within student organizations. The documentation of this activity serves as formal evidence of program execution and completion, forming part of the official accountability report to ensure transparency and responsible governance in every organizational initiative. As part of the academic ecosystem at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga, this initiative highlights the integration of organizational management, student development, and institutional identity strengthening within the broader context of higher education excellence.
