To expand collaboration networks and strengthen inter-organizational relations, the Ministry of External Affairs (Hublu) of the Student Executive Board (BEM) at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), successfully organized a series of three Hublu Meetings throughout the 2025 term. The program aimed to foster knowledge exchange, share best practices, and enhance internationalization strategies across student organizations.
The first Hublu Meeting took place on May 26, 2025, at Dcoffee Cup, Surabaya, involving the External Relations Department of BEM FTMM UNAIR. The discussion focused on sharing perspectives regarding the development of internationalization programs within student organizations. Both parties actively exchanged ideas about expanding student diplomacy initiatives and promoting cross-faculty cooperation. Inspired by the conversation, Hublu BEM FPK UNAIR committed to strengthening its organizational branding strategies, extending outreach not only at the national but also at the international level. This meeting marked the first step in fostering sustainable collaboration between faculties at UNAIR, emphasizing the importance of creative communication, institutional synergy, and global engagement among students.
The second session was held on September 7, 2025, in collaboration with the Department of Domestic and Foreign Affairs (Dalugri) of BEM Faculty of Agriculture, UPN “Veteran” East Java, at Kogu Space, Surabaya. This productive meeting featured a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) that explored each department’s scope, roles, and responsibilities. During the discussion, Dalugri shared its integrated system, which not only manages external relations but also supervises internal evaluations to ensure optimal organizational performance. The valuable insights gained encouraged Hublu BEM FPK UNAIR to reassess its internal-external coordination framework. The dialogue emphasized that effective management requires balanced communication between internal structure and external partnerships, aligning with the goals of professional student leadership.
The third Hublu Meeting was conducted on October 31, 2025, with the Department of External Affairs, BEM FTIRS ITS, again hosted at Kogu Space, Surabaya.
This session centered on the importance of building sustainable relationships between academic institutions and the industrial sector through alumni networking.
The discussion highlighted how collaboration with industries can create a mutual exchange of benefits—empowering student organizations as talent incubators while providing companies access to highly skilled and innovative graduates.
Through this engagement, participants recognized that alumni serve as strategic connectors between academia and the professional world, contributing to both student development and faculty reputation on a larger scale. Across the three meetings, Hublu BEM FPK UNAIR successfully expanded its collaboration networks and deepened its understanding of external relations management. Each session offered new insights—from internationalization strategies and internal synergy to alumni-industry collaboration models. These collective experiences reinforced Hublu’s role as a dynamic student body committed to enhancing professionalism, organizational quality, and interfaculty cooperation.The Hublu Meeting Series 2025 stands as a testament to FPK UNAIR’s dedication to nurturing globally minded student leaders who embody collaboration, adaptability, and innovation—values central to Universitas Airlangga’s mission of becoming a world-class university.
