PROFILE

The Aquaculture Program was first established under the name Aquaculture Program based on the Decision of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia, No. 325/DIKTI/Kep/2020 dated September 7, 2020. Since 2018, the program has been renamed the Aquaculture Program. The name change was based on the Decision of the Director General of Higher Education and Technology No. 163/E/KPT/2022 regarding the Names of Academic and Professional Education Programs, and was approved by the Rector’s Decision No. 898/UN3/2018. The Aquaculture Program is accredited with the national accreditation status of ‘Excellent’ based on Certificate No. 5955/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.Ppj/S/IX/2024, valid until September 30, 2029, and ASIIN Accreditation from June 28, 2019, to September 30, 2024.

VISSION

To become a study program that is recognized nationally and internationally and has excellence in the mastery, development, and application of science and technology in the field of aquaculture, particularly in fish diseases and aquatic environmental health, as well as to serve as a pioneer in the development of independent education and research in fisheries science based on religious values, ethics, and environmental sustainability, while remaining oriented toward community welfare.

MISSION

  1. Conducting Aquaculture Studies using advance learning technology, which can encourage students to have self confidence, professional skills and huge effort to develop their selfs.
  2. Conducting high quality fundamental, applied and innovative policy reserach on fisheries science and aquaculture for human’s prosperity.
  3. Contributing technical aquaculture skills in society services.
  4. Reinforcing relationship with many government and non government organizations in integrating science and technology information system

Able to apply logical, critical, systematic solution, and innovative thinking in the context of developing or implementing quality science and technology independently in the field of marine and fisheries.

  1. Able to independently and systematically analyses fish pests and diseases in the field of aquaculture
  2. Able to appropriately apply fish hatchery and rearing technology in the field of aquaculture by applying competency values that are in accordance with their field of expertise
  3. Able to implement the science of nutrition and fish feed technology in the field of aquaculture according to scientific principles and ethics
  4. Able to determine optimal water quality and environmental health as an alternative solution in the field of aquaculture
  5. Able to apply entrepreneurship in the field of aquaculture in accordance with their expertise

Knowledge

  1. Able to master fisheries and marine science comprehensively
  2. Able to interpret policies in the scope of fisheries and marine appropriately in accordance with the scientific field
  3. Able to clearly demonstrate the supporting potential of fisheries and marine resources development to realize sustainable management.

GRADUATE PROFILE

Graduate from Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Universitas Airlangga have a Bachelor’s degree of Fisheries (S.Pi) are prospected to play role as:

  1. Manager: graduates are able to manage a workload and become community leaders in the field of fisheries.
  2. Entrepreneur: graduates have the courage to take risks and the ability to develop a business in the fisheries sector.
  3. Researcher: graduates have the ability to explore the potential of fisheries resources through research activities.
  4. Instructor: graduates have the ability to transfer knowledge and provide understanding to stakeholders in accordance with technological developments in the field of fisheries.
