HIMATEKHIKAN 2025 has successfully implemented a series of strategic work programs led by its Core Management Board (Badan Pengurus Inti/BPI) as part of its commitment to strengthening organizational quality, leadership capacity, and academic engagement within the Fisheries Product Technology Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga (FPK Unair). Throughout one administrative period, these programs were designed to develop the potential of all HIMATEKHIKAN staff members while reinforcing character building, professionalism, and participatory governance aligned with academic values and institutional standards.

Throughout the 2025 period, the Core Management Board of HIMATEKHIKAN carried out structured initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational governance and academic synergy. One of the central programs was the Monthly Meeting, also known as Planning, Evaluation, and Strategic Program Forum (PEPES), which was attended by all board members and staff. This forum functioned as a strategic evaluation platform to review the implementation of previous monthly programs and to design upcoming agendas. During these sessions, each division presented progress reports, identified operational challenges, and proposed solutions to ensure that all work programs could be executed effectively and on schedule. The meetings also served as a coordination hub to align responsibilities among members, strengthen internal communication, and improve administrative accuracy. By maintaining consistent evaluation and strategic planning mechanisms, HIMATEKHIKAN ensured that its organizational management remained adaptive, accountable, and academically oriented, supporting student development within the Fisheries Product Technology environment.

In addition to administrative strengthening, the Core Board organized the Strategic Writing Class as a capacity-building initiative involving all HIMATEKHIKAN staff. This program addressed the technical competencies required for academic and organizational documentation, including the proper structure of Accountability Reports (Laporan Pertanggungjawaban/LPJ), effective proposal writing techniques, preparation of activity-based budgeting plans, and systematic writing in accordance with organizational standards. The activity was conducted interactively, encouraging participants to actively ask questions and engage in guided practice sessions. Real document examples were presented and discussed to ensure practical understanding and application. By integrating structured writing skills with organizational literacy, the program contributed not only to administrative excellence but also to academic readiness, equipping students with transferable competencies relevant to research proposals, scientific reporting, and professional documentation within FPK Unair.

Furthermore, HIMATEKHIKAN facilitated the Student Deliberation Forum (Musyawarah Mahasiswa), attended by students from various cohorts of the Fisheries Product Technology Study Program. This forum aimed to gather student aspirations related to academic needs, student development programs, and emerging issues relevant to the learning environment. The deliberation was conducted in a constructive and conducive atmosphere, allowing participants to openly express perspectives and recommendations. Several key agreements were formulated during the session and subsequently brought into follow-up meetings for further analysis, recommendation drafting, and programmatic action. This participatory mechanism reflects HIMATEKHIKAN’s commitment to inclusive governance and democratic engagement, ensuring that student voices contribute to program development and academic improvement within FPK Unair. By institutionalizing structured dialogue, the organization strengthens its role as a bridge between students and academic stakeholders.

As the closing series of activities at the end of the administrative period, the Core Board conducted a comprehensive Financial Accountability Report presentation delivered by the respective Persons in Charge (PIC) and the General Treasurer. The session provided detailed transparency regarding financial management across implemented programs, including income sources, expenditure breakdowns, transaction documentation, and budget evaluation analysis. This presentation aimed to ensure accountability, transparency, and responsible financial governance within HIMATEKHIKAN. All staff members were given the opportunity to provide feedback, constructive criticism, and recommendations to improve the financial management system for the subsequent period. Through this final reporting mechanism, HIMATEKHIKAN reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, good governance, and sustainable organizational development. This official documentation serves as a formal record of the Core Management Board’s work programs throughout one period and is expected to become a reference point for future evaluation, strategic planning, and accountability within HIMATEKHIKAN and the broader academic ecosystem of FPK Unair.
