Dr. nat. techn. Muhamad Nur Ghoyatul Amin, S.TP., M.P., M.Sc. is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga, specializing in Marine Nutraceuticals and Food Chemistry. He earned his doctoral degree in Food Chemistry from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), Austria.
His research focuses on the exploration of bioactive compounds from aquatic resources, including both micromolecules and macromolecules such as proteins and polysaccharides, for the development of functional foods and nutraceutical products. His work contributes to advancing the utilization of marine resources as innovative solutions for health, nutrition, and sustainable food systems.
Dr. Ghoyatul Amin has been actively involved in international academic collaborations as a visiting researcher at several institutions, including Akdeniz University (Turkey), BOKU University (Austria), and Visayas State University (Philippines). He is also committed to integrating research activities with community engagement and innovative learning approaches.
Beyond academia, he actively promotes fish consumption as a strategy to improve nutritional status and support stunting prevention programs in Indonesia. Through research, education, and outreach activities, he contributes to strengthening fisheries-based food security and public health.
