Surabaya – Participants of the 2026 Basic Student Management Skills Training (LKMM-TD) at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), received intensive training on program proposal development techniques on Sunday (June 7, 2026). The session, delivered by Dita Wisudyawati, S.Pi., M.Sc., aimed to strengthen students’ ability to design systematic, measurable, and impactful organizational programs.

The topic of Program Proposal Development Techniques was one of the key sessions within the LKMM-TD series, as proposals serve as the foundation for the implementation of various student activities and organizational initiatives. Through this session, participants were encouraged to understand that successful programs begin with careful planning to ensure that organizational objectives can be achieved effectively and efficiently.

During her presentation, Dita explained that developing a program proposal extends beyond administrative requirements. It also reflects students’ ability to identify needs, formulate implementation strategies, and manage available resources. A well-prepared proposal should clearly outline the background, objectives, target participants, implementation mechanisms, and indicators of success in a structured and comprehensive manner.

“A program proposal is not merely an administrative document; it is a roadmap that illustrates how an idea can be transformed into a well-planned, systematic, and measurable initiative,” Dita explained to the participants.

The session also introduced students to the stages of proposal preparation, beginning with environmental analysis and problem identification. Based on these findings, students can formulate relevant program ideas before translating them into comprehensive proposals that are easily understood by stakeholders and decision-makers.

In addition to discussing technical writing aspects, the speaker emphasized the importance of using clear, systematic, and communicative language. According to Dita, a well-written proposal facilitates coordination, decision-making, and program evaluation throughout the implementation process.

To deepen participants’ understanding, the session featured interactive discussions and case studies of student activity proposals. Through this approach, participants learned to identify common mistakes in proposal writing while gaining practical insights into developing more effective and impactful program plans.

The participants demonstrated strong enthusiasm throughout the session. Many actively engaged in discussions and raised questions regarding organizational program planning, particularly on how to design initiatives that create meaningful impacts for students and the broader community. The lively discussion reflected the participants’ commitment to strengthening their managerial competencies as future student leaders.

This training aligns with FPK UNAIR’s commitment to supporting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by enhancing students’ leadership and organizational management competencies. Furthermore, the ability to develop structured and accountable program proposals contributes to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through the promotion of effective organizational governance, while also supporting SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by encouraging collaborative program planning that benefits multiple stakeholders.

Through the Program Proposal Development Techniques session, LKMM-TD 2026 participants are expected to strengthen their planning and organizational skills, enabling them to create innovative, measurable, and impactful programs that contribute positively to both the university community and society at large.
