Dr. Laksmi Sulmartiwi, S.Pi., M.P. is an expert in physiology, ichthyology, and histology who currently serves as Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Airlangga, for the 2025–2030 period.
Her research focuses on fish physiology and reproduction, histopathology, as well as the development of seaweed waste utilization and natural antioxidants to support the health of cultured fish.
She also holds a patent for a method of assessing acute stress in cantang grouper (Number: P00202514815) and is actively involved as an expert for the Healthy Fisheries Management program of the Lamongan Regency Fisheries Office.
