Master of Fisheries and Marine Biotechnology

FACULTY OF FISHERIES AND MARINE

PROFILE OF THE STUDY PROGRAM S2 FISHERIES AND MARINE BIOTECHNOLOGY

Study Program of Fisheries and Marine Biotechnology Master’s Degree (S2 BPK) was established under the Decree of Universitas Airlangga Rector Number 1584/H3Kr/2009 on The Opening of Master’s Degree Program and the Decree of Universitas Airlangga Rector Number 15005/H3/KR/2010 on Operational Permission. Fisheries and Marine Biotechnology Master’s Degree is managed by Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences. In 2013, the study program achieved a B-rank of Accreditation grade issued by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) under the Decree of BAN-PT Number 204/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-XI/M/X/2013. In 2019, the accreditation grade was improved from “B” to “A” under the Decree of BAN-PT Number 3090/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/VIII/2019. To improve quality and competence of its graduates, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences has built a partnership with National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) in Taiwan to hold a double-degree program. The compliance with curriculums and syllabi of courses in which the course credits can be transferred from the Fisheries and Marine Biotechnology Study Program to the Department of Biological Science and Technology of NPUST has served as the basis in choosing a partner for the double-degree program. The Memorandum of Agreement on Double Degree on Master’s Program between Marine Department, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Universitas Airlangga (S2 BPK UNAIR), and Department of Biological Science and Technology, College of Agriculture, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology Taiwan had been signed by both parties on April 21, 2021. The memorandum is followed by the issuance of the Decree of Universitas Airlangga Rector Number 506/UN3/2021 on Double Degree Programs.
