Understanding Graduate Career Paths

The tracer study provides accurate quantitative data on employment and career characteristics, relevant competencies, professional orientation, and graduate experiences.

Conducting a tracer study is important for higher education institutions to obtain feedback from alumni as part of efforts to improve educational systems and management.

Tracer study data also provides information on the relationship between higher education and the world of work, the relevance of higher education, stakeholder needs, and supports the fulfillment of higher education accreditation requirements.
