Strategic Plan

FACULTY OF FISHERIES AND MARINE

The Strategic Plan (RENSTRA) of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at Airlangga University serves as the guiding framework for the development of the Faculty over the next five years (2020-2025). This plan encompasses various scenarios for the growth and enhancement of the Faculty within this timeframe.


In accordance with Government Regulation No. 30 of 2014 regarding the Statute of Higher Education Institutions, Article 49 (1) defines a Faculty as an academic, professional, and/or vocational unit within Airlangga University responsible for coordinating and conducting academic, professional, and/or vocational activities across one or more disciplines in the fields of knowledge, technology, and the humanities. The core purpose of developing the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at Airlangga University is to contribute to the intellectual development of the Indonesian nation by nurturing individuals in the field of Fisheries and Marine Sciences. 


This development is guided by Airlangga University’s core values, summarized as “Excellence with Morality,” which can be elaborated as follows:

1. Ethical Behavior: Every member of the Airlangga University community adheres to moral principles and does not 

     tolerate amoral or unethical conduct or attitudes.

2. Value Addition: All activities of the Airlangga University community, including education, research, community service, 

     and academic products, consistently strive to provide the best and add value to society, the nation, and the country.

3. Strong Academic Culture: The behavior and attitudes of the Airlangga University community reflect a strong and 

     rooted academic culture.

4. Efficiency and Accountability: Every activity of the Airlangga University community is considered a resource that must 

     be managed efficiently, effectively, and accountably to achieve predetermined achievements and quality targets.


In the process of fostering democratic leadership and encouraging participation, this Strategic Plan will serve as a benchmark for evaluating the success and performance of the management of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at all levels. The Strategic Plan of the Faculty can anticipate and address various internal and external changes and developments, thus addressing the strategic issues that the Faculty may encounter over the next five years. This will ensure that all members of the academic and staff community of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences can understand and implement the Strategic Plan effectively.


The Strategic Plan of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences is developed based on an analysis of both internal and external situations. The internal analysis involves assessing strengths and weaknesses, while the external environment analysis considers opportunities and threats. Decision No. 01/UN3.MWA/K/2016 by the Board of Trustees of Airlangga University serves as the foundation for crafting the Strategic Plan for the Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences for the 2020-2025 period.
