Universitas Airlangga once again held its 261st Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, April 12, 2026, at the Airlangga Convention Center, Campus C. During this significant academic milestone, a total of 53 students from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK UNAIR) were officially conferred as new graduates. The ceremony marked not only the completion of their academic journey but also the beginning of a new chapter, where graduates are expected to apply their knowledge and skills in professional fields and contribute meaningfully to society.
The graduation ceremony brought together graduates from various study programs within FPK UNAIR, spanning both undergraduate and master’s levels. This event reflects the successful implementation of higher education that emphasizes academic excellence, integrity, and readiness to face global challenges. The entire procession was conducted solemnly, filled with pride and joy for graduates, their families, and the academic community who have supported their journey.
Among the 53 graduates, several outstanding achievements were highlighted. At the undergraduate level, the Best Graduate award was earned by Akbar Maulana Saputra from the Aquaculture Study Program, majoring in Marine Science and Technology. He completed his studies in just 3.5 years, demonstrating remarkable dedication and academic consistency. Meanwhile, at the master’s level, the Best Graduate distinction was awarded to Cut Syarifah Zahara from the Marine and Fisheries Biotechnology Program, who completed her studies in 1 year and 5 months, showcasing exceptional academic performance.
In addition to academic excellence, recognition was also given for overall student achievement. Arya Dinda Dewangga Mujiatno, an undergraduate student from the Aquaculture Study Program, received the Outstanding Graduate award. This recognition highlights that FPK UNAIR students are not only academically capable but also actively engaged in extracurricular activities, leadership roles, and broader contributions at various levels.
The 261st graduation serves as a crucial milestone in preparing graduates who are ready to contribute to the fisheries and marine sector. Equipped with academic knowledge and practical experience, graduates are expected to develop innovative solutions to address challenges in fisheries, including sustainable resource management and the advancement of marine-based technologies.
