The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at Universitas Airlangga (BEM FPK UNAIR) under Cabinet Bashkara hosted the “Lapor Pres” forum, marking a critical milestone in evaluating the first 100 days of its leadership. Held from Friday to Sunday, May 23–25, 2025, this three-day forum highlighted the commitment of student governance to transparency, accountability, and strategic planning within the faculty.
The “Lapor Pres” forum served as an exclusive, small-scale meeting where the Ministry of Utilization and Internal Development (PPI) engaged directly with each ministry under the BEM FPK UNAIR structure. Each ministry presented its achievements, technical challenges, and future strategic plans. The PPI Ministry acted as an active listener and evaluator, providing objective notes, constructive criticism, and recommendations to strengthen the execution of programs without interfering with the ministries’ authority.
Throughout the forum, ministries were encouraged to share detailed reports of their initiatives, highlighting both successes and lessons learned. This platform allowed for a transparent exchange of information on program development, student engagement, and practical outcomes, providing a reflective overview of how each ministry contributes to the overall vision of Cabinet Bashkara. By documenting challenges and proposed solutions, the forum emphasized the importance of accountability and continuous improvement in student governance.
As part of the closing session, the forum incorporated a reflective segment where ministry members were invited to provide constructive feedback directly to the President and Vice President of BEM FPK UNAIR. This open dialogue encouraged honest discussion on leadership effectiveness, organizational policy directions, and collaborative decision-making processes during the first quarter. Participants reported that this segment fostered a culture of transparency and mutual understanding, reinforcing the faculty’s commitment to professional and ethical student governance.
Through the Lapor Pres forum, BEM FPK UNAIR reaffirmed its dedication to upholding internal transparency and accountability. The outcomes of the evaluation are expected to serve as strategic benchmarks for all ministries, enhancing synergy, maintaining consistency, and ensuring continuous progress in achieving the vision and mission of Cabinet Bashkara. This initiative reflects the faculty’s broader commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and active student participation in governance and innovation.
