Saturday, February 28, 2026, marked the successful implementation of the Proposal Class 2026 organized by the Fisheries Processing Club (FPC) Cabinet Pravarta of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga. The activity was conducted at Room A303, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, beginning at 08.00 WIB and continuing until completion. Designed as a capacity-building initiative, the program aimed to enhance organizational administrators’ understanding of structured and systematic administrative management, particularly in preparing proposals and accountability reports. Through this activity, FPC reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening students’ managerial competencies as part of academic and organizational development within the faculty environment.
The Proposal Class 2026 was attended by active members of the Fisheries Processing Club management for the 2026 period, involving a total of 31 participants. Nineteen participants attended the session offline at the venue, while twelve joined online, reflecting an inclusive hybrid learning approach that accommodated diverse participation needs. The event began with participant registration, followed by an official opening session and welcoming remarks delivered by the Head of Fisheries Processing Club. The structured agenda then continued with the first material session covering proposal preparation, accountability reports (LPJ), and organizational bureaucratic workflows. The second session focused on funding mechanisms and financial procedures within organizational programs. These sessions were complemented by interactive discussions and a question-and-answer segment, allowing participants to clarify technical aspects directly related to organizational administration practices.
The materials were delivered by former Secretary and Treasurer of Fisheries Processing Club 2025, alumni who possess practical experience in organizational administration and proposal development. Their involvement provided participants with real-world insights into administrative challenges and effective strategies for preparing professional documentation aligned with institutional standards. Throughout the activity, participants demonstrated high enthusiasm and active engagement, contributing to a dynamic and interactive learning atmosphere. Discussions were conducted constructively, enabling participants to exchange ideas, share experiences, and deepen their understanding of administrative responsibilities within student organizations. The post-test session conducted at the end of the program served as an evaluation tool to measure participants’ comprehension, ensuring that knowledge transfer occurred effectively and measurably.
From an academic and institutional perspective, the implementation of Proposal Class 2026 also contributed to the realization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by strengthening non-formal educational capacity among university students. Additionally, the activity supported SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions through the promotion of transparent, accountable, and professional organizational governance practices. By equipping student administrators with technical administrative skills, the program fosters responsible leadership and sustainable organizational management aligned with higher education values. The integration of structured training within student organizations reflects the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences’ commitment to developing competent graduates who are not only academically capable but also organizationally skilled.
With the successful implementation of this activity, Fisheries Processing Club expects future work program proposals to be prepared in accordance with established administrative standards while improving overall professionalism and sustainability of organizational initiatives. The Proposal Class serves as a strategic foundation for strengthening internal governance, ensuring that every program implemented by FPC is supported by clear planning, transparent financial management, and accountable reporting systems. Ultimately, this initiative reinforces the role of student organizations as collaborative learning spaces that bridge academic knowledge with practical organizational experience, supporting continuous institutional development within Universitas Airlangga.
