The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga (FPK UNAIR), once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening the linkage between academia and industry by hosting the Management Trainee (MT) recruitment of PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia on 28 April 2026 at the 8th Floor of Building C, FPK UNAIR. The recruitment program reflects the faculty’s strategic initiative to enhance graduate employability, expand institutional partnerships, and provide students with direct access to professional career pathways in the agribusiness and aquaculture sectors.
The recruitment activity was attended by 12 shortlisted candidates who had successfully passed the administrative screening stage. Organized in a structured and systematic manner, the process began with a written examination designed to assess participants’ fundamental knowledge in aquaculture, analytical reasoning, and readiness to address industry-related challenges. The written test served as an initial benchmark to evaluate how well the candidates’ academic competencies aligned with the company’s operational needs. This phase was particularly significant as it highlighted the integration of theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom with practical industry expectations. By conducting the selection process within the academic environment, FPK UNAIR reaffirmed its proactive role in facilitating a smooth transition from higher education to professional employment, ensuring that students are well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to the fisheries and agricultural industries.
Following the written examination, candidates proceeded to a direct interview session conducted by representatives of PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia. This stage aimed to further explore participants’ motivation, communication skills, leadership potential, and overall professional readiness. The interactive dialogue between industry representatives and students provided valuable insights into the competencies required in modern agribusiness and aquaculture enterprises. PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia, operating in the agribusiness and feed industry sectors—particularly in aquaculture and livestock—forms part of the Haida Group with an international network presence.
