After a heartfelt opening ceremony, the first day of NATAMANDARA 2024 continued with various educational sessions designed to deepen the new students’ understanding of aquaculture. One of the most anticipated sessions was the Aquaculture Talk and Discussion (ADKESMA HIMAKUA), where students engaged in discussions on important topics in the fisheries industry.
The first session was led by Ms. Aini, who shared insights on international internships, offering a global perspective on opportunities in aquaculture. This was followed by Mr. Arief, who discussed business opportunities in fisheries, sparking lively discussions among new students already brainstorming their own business ideas. Finally, Dr. Abdul Manan, S.Pi., M.Pi., Ph.D., introduced Marine Science and Technology, accompanied by senior students from the Marine Science and Technology specialization, class of 2022.
Each session was interactive, encouraging active participation from the new students. They not only listened but also engaged in discussions, even presenting business plans they had prepared in their group Focus Group Discussion (FGD) sessions.
This action-packed day reflected the enthusiasm of the new students, eager to explore the world of aquaculture and dive into every opportunity.
