Cultural Immersion after the Opening
Following the official launch, participants of the New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program 2025 engaged in a cultural immersion activity. Their first stop was the National Taiwan Museum, one of Asia’s most prominent institutions showcasing Taiwan’s rich history and heritage.
Among the delegates was Defia Putri Mahardika from FPK UNAIR, who joined fellow students from seven different countries. Together, they explored ancient artifacts, traditional crafts, and modern artworks that embody Taiwan’s diverse cultural identity.
Building Cross-Cultural Understanding
The visit was more than just sightseeing. It was an educational journey designed to foster deeper appreciation of Taiwan’s culture and history. By experiencing local heritage firsthand, participants sharpen their cross-cultural communication skills – an essential competency for future global leaders.
Defia reflected on the experience: “This visit broadened my perspective. Learning about Taiwan’s history helps us understand the values and traditions that shape a nation. Such insights are crucial for building stronger international collaboration.”
