Getting to Know Natamandara 2026
The Department of Student Resource Development (PSDM) of the Aquaculture Student Association (HIMAKUA), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), held Natamandara 2026 on Friday, August 7, 2026, at FPK UNAIR. The activity was attended by 150 freshmen of the Aquaculture Study Program, Class of 2026, as a platform for an initial introduction to the academic environment, the Aquaculture Study Program, and student life. Natamandara was designed to help freshmen adapt to university life through educational and interactive activities that emphasized two-way communication, togetherness, care, and openness.
Exploring the Excitement of Natamandara 2026
The activity began with a presentation from Kajian Keilmiahan Mahasiswa on the fundamentals of scientific thinking and its application in aquaculture. The Chairperson of Kajian Keilmiahan Mahasiswa, Aditya Jayawardhana Ramadhani, stated that “what we cultivate is not only fish, but a small ecosystem full of life.” The activity continued with One Day as an Aquaculture Student, featuring a mini practical session on fish morphology that introduced the structure of fish and its relationship to physiological functions.
Next, Dita Wisudyawati, S.Pi., M.Sc. delivered material on the Aquaculture Study Program, including an overview of the learning process and scientific fields that students will study throughout their university education. The following session, AquaTalk: Student Experience and Growth, featured Fitroh Ghoniyyu, who shared his experiences in internships, Student Outbound programs, HIMAKUA organizations, scholarships, and university life. The message, “the next four years will determine your story,” encouraged freshmen to make the most of various opportunities for self-development.
Toward the end of the activity, students participated in the sounding of Cakomting candidate names from each group, followed by a post-test to evaluate participants’ understanding of the materials presented.
Exploring the Meaning Behind Natamandara 2026
Natamandara 2026 aimed to shape Aquaculture freshmen who are qualified, competitive, responsible, and concerned about the academic environment. The activity also served as a space for exchanging ideas, discussing, and building communication through collaborative activities. Freshmen were encouraged to develop creative ideas that could be realized through class projects, fostering togetherness, teamwork, and initiative.
Natamandara 2026 served as an initial step in introducing university life through materials, discussions, practical activities, and direct experiences. The activity supports SDG 4: Quality Education through the development of knowledge and character, SDG 14: Life Below Water through an introduction to sustainable aquatic resource management, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration among participants and organizers. Thus, Natamandara 2026 contributes to fostering a sense of togetherness, care, and a spirit of collaboration within the Aquaculture Study Program and FPK UNAIR.
