Surabaya – The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) conducted an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) for the Master’s Program in Fisheries Science on Wednesday (September 9, 2026). The activity began at 1:00 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB) and took place at the Garam Room, FPK UNAIR.
FPK UNAIR conducted the on-site audit as part of its commitment to maintaining the quality of higher education. In addition, the activity supports the strengthening of the quality assurance system within the faculty and study program.
Evaluation of Study Program Management
The FPK UNAIR Deanery and academic community participated in the AMI. Meanwhile, Dean of FPK UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Endang Dewi Masithah, Ir., M.P., also supported the implementation of the on-site audit.
Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Fisheries Science, Prof. Dr. Gunanti Mahasri, Ir., M.Si., was also present during the activity. Furthermore, she provided information regarding the management and development of the Master’s Program in Fisheries Science.
Dr. Tri Hartini Yuliawati, dr., M.Kes., and Auli Damayanti, S.Si., M.Si., served as auditors. Through the audit, both auditors evaluated various aspects of the study program’s management and academic implementation.
Promoting Continuous Quality Improvement
Through the on-site audit, the Master’s Program in Fisheries Science can identify achievements as well as areas for improvement. Therefore, the evaluation results can serve as a basis for enhancing education quality, governance, and academic services.
FPK UNAIR considers quality assurance an essential part of higher education development. Moreover, a strong quality culture can support the development of competent and professional human resources.
The implementation of the Internal Quality Audit also reflects the commitment of all elements within FPK UNAIR to strengthening collaboration in achieving high-quality education standards. In addition, the involvement of auditors, faculty leaders, study program management, and the academic community highlights the importance of collaboration in the continuous quality improvement process.
This commitment also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17, Partnerships for the Goals. Through synergy and collaboration among academic units, FPK UNAIR continues to strengthen its quality assurance system in a sustainable manner.
