Kajian Keilmiahan Mahasiswa KAKEMA of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Universitas Airlangga FPK UNAIR held a welcome party to mark the inauguration of its 2026 management period on 12 February 2026 in Surabaya. The event served as an initial momentum to strengthen solidarity and align the organizational vision in advancing academic development in fisheries and marine studies.
As a student organization focused on scientific development, environmental awareness, and aquaculture, KAKEMA considers leadership transition a crucial phase in maintaining organizational sustainability. The welcome party was designed not merely as a ceremonial gathering but as a structured interaction space encouraging open communication and collaboration among members.
The event involved dozens of active students from various study programs within FPK UNAIR. Interactive games were incorporated to foster familiarity and ease communication among members.
Chairperson of KAKEMA 2026 Aditya Jayawardhana emphasized the strategic meaning of the event for the organization’s future direction.The warm atmosphere reflected members’ enthusiasm in establishing productive relationships. Cross disciplinary interaction became an essential foundation for strengthening coordination in upcoming academic and organizational programs.
As part of the academic ecosystem of FPK UNAIR, student organizations contribute significantly to leadership development, teamwork skills, and professional readiness in the fisheries and marine sector.
