UNAIR Strengthens Internationalization Through Student Visit
The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) continues to expand its commitment to internationalization. This time, the Dean of FPK UNAIR officially sent off four Aquaculture students for an international academic visit to The Tropical Future Institute, James Cook University Singapore.
The students participating in this program are Penta Aji Purnama, Alivia Angelin Elkos, Muthia Diffa Fauza, and Naomi Melly Maurin. They are accompanied by Prof. Gunanti Mahasri and Ms. Dita Wisudyawati as academic supervisors.
In his remarks, Dean of FPK UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Endang Dewi Masithah, Ir.,MP.
, highlighted that this visit reflects UNAIR’s strong commitment to preparing its students for a global academic stage. Internationalization, he emphasized, is not only about institutional partnerships but also about empowering students to gain valuable international experiences.

During their visit, the students will participate in:

Academic discussions with faculty and researchers at James Cook University.

Introduction to advanced research facilities in tropical aquaculture.

Exploring potential collaborations in research and education.
Prof. Amin further hopes that this initiative will inspire students to contribute meaningfully to the development of sustainable aquaculture in Indonesia while strengthening UNAIR’s academic reputation abroad.
