Academic Profile
Dr. Veryl Hasan, S.Pi., M.P. is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Airlangga, with expertise in Ichthyology and Fish Resources.
His research focuses on fish biodiversity, fish taxonomy, fish domestication, and the development of sustainable aquaculture. His research contributes to conservation-based aquatic resource management and the preservation of aquatic biodiversity in Indonesia.
He actively leads and coordinates various international research grants supported by partners from the United Kingdom and Japan. For his contributions to fisheries and marine science, he received the Southeast Asia’s Best Young Fisheries Researcher award from the ASEAN Fisheries Education Network (ASEAN-FEN) and was included in the list of World’s Top 2% Scientists.
He has international publications indexed by Scopus with a Scopus H-index of 23 (Scopus ID: 57208215512).
