Ayu Lana, a lecturer at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Universitas Airlangga, has made participation in international conferences an important part of her scientific development. With scholarship support from the faculty, Ayu successfully completed her master’s and doctoral education abroad, and is now actively participating in various international conferences relevant to the field of fisheries.
International conferences not only provide opportunities for Ayu to broaden her horizons, but also allow her to collaborate with fisheries experts from different countries. This experience is invaluable for improving scientific practice, developing new research methods, and strengthening understanding of global issues in the fisheries industry. Through the presentation of research results and discussions with international academics, Ayu Lana has helped drive the advancement of fisheries science, which has a positive impact on improving sustainable fisheries practices.
Ayu Lana’s participation in these conferences is also in line with the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Universitas Airlangga’s efforts to expand international reach through cross-country collaboration. The active involvement of lecturers in global scientific activities helps strengthen the academic reputation of the faculty in the eyes of the world, as well as opening up opportunities for wider cooperation in research, technology development, and student exchanges.
It is hoped that participation in international conferences such as Ayu Lana’s can continue to make a significant contribution to the development of fisheries science in Indonesia, and inspire other academics and students to participate in similar activities.
