The SALMON (Social and Learning Activity with Morality for Nation) community service program returned in 2024 with a new face. With the theme “Optimization and Development of Regional Potential Through Sustainable Human Resource Empowerment,” this activity aims to optimize the local potential of Cumpat Village through sustainable community empowerment.

SALMON 2024, organized by the Ministry of Community Social Affairs of BEM FPK Universitas Airlangga, lasted for 22 days from July 8 to August 1, 2024. The program involves students of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, who actively participate in activities in the fields of education, health, environment, and economy.

The chief executive of SALMON 2024, Andhiarta Lucky Riandhani, expressed her hope that this activity would have a positive impact on the community. Cumpat Village was chosen because of its great potential but has not been maximized, as well as its strategic location for program development.
