On Friday, August 2, 2024, the Aquaculture Student Association through the Student Welfare Advocacy Division (ADKESMA) held an online Study Plan Card (KRS) Socialization activity. More than 200 Aquaculture students from the batches of 2021, 2022, and 2023 participated in this activity, which was guided by the Head of the Aquaculture Department Study Program, Mrs. Putri Desi Wulan Sari, S.Pi., M.Si.
In addition to providing technical guidance related to filling out KRS, Mrs. Putri Desi also explained some important rules regarding SKS (Semester Credit System) and elective courses. One of the information that attracted attention was the rules for 3rd semester students who have a GPA above 3. They are allowed to take up to 24 credits in odd semester, which certainly provides more flexibility for students in planning their studies.
Bu Putri Desi also mentioned elective courses, where students who have not fulfilled 6 credits of elective courses are advised to take them in semester 7. This is so that students can complete all academic requirements on time and proceed to the trial stage.
In addition, students are also invited to understand the importance of managing their schedules independently, especially in choosing courses that suit their interests. Mrs. Putri Desi emphasized that double degree programs are not available at the undergraduate level, so students must make the best use of their credits to achieve their graduation targets.
The socialization ended with an active Q&A session, where students got further clarifications on various academic aspects. This activity is expected to help Aquaculture students in undergoing the academic process more purposefully and efficiently.
