Leadership Transition at FPK UNAIR: Honoring Dedication, Embracing New Hopes

Leadership change at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK) Universitas Airlangga is not merely procedural—it is a relay of dedication linking past achievements with future aspirations.

Dedication of the 2020–2025 Period

Under Prof. Ir. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah, M.Si., Ph.D., FPK UNAIR achieved significant progress, from strengthening research collaborations and community engagement to advancing educational quality.

In his farewell remarks, Prof. Amin emphasized that FPK’s success was a collective effort. “None of these achievements would have been possible without the contribution of the entire academic community. Leadership is never about one person—it is about working together,” he stated.

Welcoming a New Era: 2025–2030

The new leadership baton has been passed to Prof. Dr. Endang Dewi Masithah, officially serving as Dean for the 2025–2030 period. In her speech, she stressed the importance of building upon existing foundations while introducing new innovations.

“FPK UNAIR must stand as a home that not only nurtures academic excellence but also provides real solutions for the fisheries and marine sectors,” said Prof. Endang.

Voices of Support

The gathering also became an opportunity for faculty members, staff, students, and alumni to express appreciation. Representatives of IKA FPK UNAIR reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the faculty’s future endeavors through stronger alumni–faculty collaboration.
