The Dekan Cup 2025 of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Airlangga, was successfully held from September 11 to October 16, 2025, marking one of the most anticipated annual events within the faculty’s academic community. As a flagship sporting event, the Dean’s Cup serves as a platform to strengthen solidarity, foster sportsmanship, and reinforce connections among students, lecturers, and educational staff. The competition not only highlights athletic talent but also reflects the faculty’s commitment to nurturing holistic development—balancing academic excellence with teamwork, leadership, and physical well-being.
Dekan Cup 2025 featured a diverse range of sports, including Basketball, Badminton, Futsal, Volleyball, Chess, E-Football, and Mobile Legends. Students from the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 cohorts actively participated across all sports categories, while lecturers and administrative staff joined selected events such as Chess, Basketball, Futsal, and Badminton. Throughout the tournament period, the atmosphere was vibrant and competitive, yet consistently upheld the principles of fairness and sportsmanship. Each match showcased strong teamwork, strategic thinking, and high enthusiasm from participants, illustrating how extracurricular engagement can foster inter-cohort collaboration and strengthen faculty-wide camaraderie. The event also demonstrated how academic institutions can integrate recreational programs into campus life to cultivate balanced student development.
After weeks of intense and spirited competition, the Dean’s Cup 2025 officially concluded with an Awarding Ceremony on October 26, 2025. The closing event recognized champions from each sports category and celebrated their achievements. The list of winners included: E-Football – 1st Place (2022 A), 2nd Place (2022 B); Chess – 1st Place (2022 A), 2nd Place (2025 A); Badminton – 1st Place (THP 2023), 2nd Place (THP 2022); Men’s Basketball – 1st Place (2022), 2nd Place (2025); Women’s Basketball – 1st Place (2024), 2nd Place (2023); Mobile Legends – 1st Place (2025 D), 2nd Place (2022 B); Men’s Volleyball – 1st Place (2024), 2nd Place (2023); Women’s Volleyball – 1st Place (2022), 2nd Place (2024); Futsal – 1st Place (2022 A), 2nd Place (2023 A). These results reflect not only competitive excellence but also consistent preparation and dedication from each participating team.
As the highlight of the tournament, the 2022 cohort was crowned the Overall Champion of Dean’s Cup FPK 2025 after securing the highest number of victories across multiple sports. This achievement stands as clear evidence of strong teamwork, resilience, and competitive spirit among its members. Beyond competition, the Dean’s Cup serves as a meaningful initiative to cultivate unity and mutual respect within the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine.
