On Thursday, March 13, 2025, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK) at Universitas Airlangga (Unair) officially established a collaborative agreement with the Graduate School of Global Food Resources, Hokkaido University, marking a significant step forward in advancing research and academic exchange in aquaculture biotechnology.
The collaboration between FPK Unair’s Master’s Program in Aquaculture Biotechnology and Hokkaido University aims to strengthen research capabilities, promote innovation, and provide comprehensive academic exchange opportunities for students and faculty members. The signing ceremony was held at FPK Unair’s main campus in Surabaya, with key leaders from both institutions attending the event. Present at the meeting were FPK Unair’s Dean, the Heads of Study Programs, and Prof. Takashi Fritz Matsuishi from Hokkaido University, demonstrating the high-level commitment from both parties.
This partnership will focus on joint research projects in sustainable aquaculture, seafood biotechnology, and marine resource management.
