Strengthening Academic Ties: UNTIDAR Agriculture Faculty Visits FPK UNAIR

Surabaya, July 18, 2025 – The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga (FPK UNAIR), recently welcomed a return visit from the delegation of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Tidar (UNTIDAR). The visit was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, accompanied by the Vice Dean and several Program Study Coordinators. This visit marked a continuation of academic collaboration efforts initiated earlier between the two institutions, reflecting their shared commitment to advancing higher education and strengthening institutional partnerships.

This activity served as part of the ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation among higher education institutions in implementing the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi): education, research, and community service. Beyond academic exchange, the visit became a meaningful moment to foster stronger academic relations and collaborative research initiatives between the two faculties. Discussions focused on expanding joint programs, including student mobility, lecturer exchange, and the development of joint research projects relevant to agriculture, fisheries, and marine science innovation.

The highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences UNAIR and the Faculty of Agriculture UNTIDAR. The agreement encompasses various aspects of the Tri Dharma, including education, research, and community engagement. Both parties are optimistic that the collaboration will contribute to improving academic quality and institutional excellence, while also addressing real-world challenges faced by the agricultural and fisheries sectors. This partnership aims to promote interdisciplinary approaches and encourage applied research that supports sustainable resource management and rural community empowerment.
