On October 19 and November 16, 2025, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Universitas Airlangga (FPK UNAIR), through BEM FPK UNAIR, successfully held “A Day with Kemenpora – Mini Soccer” at Sampoerna Academy and Surabaya Mini Soccer. The activity served as a collaborative sports gathering designed to strengthen solidarity, promote physical well-being, and foster inclusive and egalitarian engagement between university students and representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).

On October 19 and November 16, 2025, BEM FPK UNAIR organized A Day with Kemenpora – Mini Soccer at Sampoerna Academy and Surabaya Mini Soccer in Surabaya. The event brought together students of FPK UNAIR and representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) in a friendly sporting atmosphere. Conducted in the evening, the activity was designed as a relaxed and informal gathering without ceremonial agendas, official speeches, or formal protocols. Instead, participants immediately engaged in mini soccer matches arranged in a fun match format, emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and equality. The initiative aimed to create a meaningful space for interaction beyond formal institutional boundaries, allowing students and stakeholders to connect in a more personal and dynamic setting.

The mini soccer sessions were structured to encourage active participation from all attendees. Representatives of Kemenpora took part directly as players, blending seamlessly with students without distinctions between guests and hosts. Matches were played in a spirit of mutual respect and camaraderie, with no official referee appointed. Participants collectively agreed to uphold fair play to ensure comfort and enjoyment for everyone involved. The absence of rigid formalities allowed for spontaneous interactions, laughter, and positive exchanges throughout the games. This approach reflected a shared commitment to equality and collaboration, values that resonate strongly with the academic culture of FPK UNAIR, which promotes participatory learning and student engagement in both academic and non-academic activities.

Beyond the physical matches, the activity also provided opportunities for informal discussions during breaks. Participants exchanged views on sports development, campus life, leadership experiences, and youth empowerment initiatives. These conversations created a two-way communication channel that strengthened understanding between students and policymakers. Such interactions are particularly relevant to FPK UNAIR’s broader mission in education, research, and community engagement, as they encourage students to build networks with external stakeholders and gain insights into policy perspectives that may influence youth development and community programs. By integrating recreational sports with meaningful dialogue, the event demonstrated how extracurricular activities can contribute to holistic student development and collaborative partnerships.

The event concluded informally as the game sessions ended, without a closing ceremony or award distribution. Nevertheless, the outcomes extended beyond the matches themselves. A Day with Kemenpora – Mini Soccer successfully cultivated a spirit of healthy living, solidarity, and sustained collaboration between students and national stakeholders. Through this initiative, FPK UNAIR reaffirmed its commitment to fostering not only academic excellence but also inclusive engagement and community-oriented values. This report is hereby documented as the official record of the implementation of A Day with Kemenpora – Mini Soccer.
