Airlangga University (UNAIR) once again celebrated the achievements of its graduates by holding the 262nd commencement ceremony, where 980 students from Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Professional, and Doctoral programs officially completed their studies. The ceremony took place on Saturday (June 20, 2026), at the Airlangga Convention Center, MERR-C Campus, marking another significant milestone for the university. The event became even more memorable as the Rector of UNAIR announced the university’s latest accomplishments in global rankings, reaffirming its growing international reputation. Among the faculties contributing to this achievement, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK UNAIR) proudly graduated 24 students, reflecting its continued commitment to producing highly qualified graduates in fisheries and marine sciences.
24 FPK UNAIR Students Graduate at UNAIR’s 262nd Commencement
The graduation of 24 students from FPK UNAIR at the 262nd commencement ceremony represents another important milestone in the faculty’s mission to develop competent professionals and future leaders in fisheries and marine sciences. The graduates completed rigorous academic requirements through comprehensive coursework, laboratory activities, field practice, research projects, and student development programs designed to strengthen both technical competence and professional integrity. The 262nd commencement ceremony also recognized remarkable student achievements through awards presented to outstanding graduates from the Fisheries Product Technology Study Program. One of the faculty’s most distinguished graduates was Andini Ariani Carolina, who received the Outstanding Undergraduate Graduate Award after earning the Silver Medal in Recognition of Creative Efforts to Invest Sustainable Aquaculture Feeding Technology (SAF-TEC) 2025. Her accomplishment reflects FPK UNAIR’s commitment to fostering innovation alongside academic excellence. It also demonstrates that students are encouraged to develop practical solutions addressing current challenges in fisheries, aquaculture, and fisheries product processing through research and technological innovation.
Andini’s achievement illustrates the faculty’s supportive academic environment, where students, lecturers, and researchers collaborate to transform scientific ideas into meaningful innovations. Sustainable aquaculture feeding technology represents an important contribution toward improving aquaculture productivity while promoting environmentally responsible practices. In addition, Alfito Putra Ginarta, also from the Fisheries Product Technology Study Program, received the Best Graduate Award for both Diploma and Undergraduate levels after graduating with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.75. His academic performance demonstrates consistent dedication, discipline, and perseverance throughout his studies. The recognition reflects the strong academic culture cultivated by FPK UNAIR, where students are encouraged to pursue excellence while continuously developing both intellectual and professional competencies.
The achievements of Andini Ariani Carolina and Alfito Putra Ginarta demonstrate that FPK UNAIR continues to produce graduates who are prepared to compete and contribute on national and international stages.
