The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga (FPK UNAIR), organized the FPK Healthy Exercise Program as part of its commitment to fostering a healthy, harmonious, and collaborative working environment. The activity involved lecturers and administrative staff and aimed to enhance physical fitness while strengthening social interaction among members of the academic community.
The Healthy Exercise Program was held on Friday, 7 February 2026, at the courtyard of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Airlangga, Campus C Mulyorejo, Surabaya. Conducted in the morning, the activity began with a collective exercise session designed to be light, safe, and inclusive, allowing participants of various age groups and physical conditions to take part comfortably.
In addition to the exercise session, the program also featured team-based games aimed at enhancing teamwork, communication, and mutual trust. These activities were facilitated by Annur Ahadi Abdillah, S.Pi., M.Si., Ph.D., who guided participants through interactive and engaging sessions that encouraged active involvement in a relaxed atmosphere.
Approximately 65 participants, consisting of lecturers and administrative staff of FPK UNAIR, took part in the program. The high level of participation reflected strong enthusiasm for activities that support both physical well-being and positive social relations within the faculty.
This collective engagement aligns with SDGs 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), particularly in strengthening internal institutional collaboration. Furthermore, the creation of a healthy and productive work environment contributes indirectly to SDGs 1 (No Poverty), as healthy human resources are more resilient, productive, and sustainable in the long term.
The health of lecturers and administrative staff plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the university’s tridharma, encompassing education, research, and community service. Academics and staff who are physically and mentally healthy are better positioned to contribute effectively to research and policy development, especially in the field of fisheries and marine sustainability.
In this context, the Healthy Exercise Program also supports SDGs 13 (Climate Action) and SDGs 14 (Life Below Water), as the success of sustainability-oriented research and education depends significantly on the quality and well-being of the human resources involved.
