Surabaya, February 2025 – Students from Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) have once again made a remarkable achievement at the national level by winning the Grand Champion title at the Mandalika Essay Competition 2025. This prestigious competition, held in Mandalika, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), gathered students from various universities across Indonesia to showcase innovative and solution-driven ideas in various fields.

This victory highlights UNAIR students’ exceptional academic abilities, innovation, and communication skills. One key factor that set the UNAIR team apart was their interactive, research-based presentations, which provided real-world solutions to global environmental challenges.
Andini Carolina, the team coordinator from UNAIR’s Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK), emphasized that their success was the result of meticulous preparation.
“We conducted in-depth research, consulted with faculty mentors, and engaged in intensive presentation practice. All these efforts have paid off,” she stated in an interview on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
With this achievement, UNAIR further solidifies its reputation as a leading university in innovation and research, with groundbreaking projects that captured the attention of both the competition’s judges and other participants.
