Surabaya, August 30, 2025 — The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK), Universitas Airlangga, reaffirmed its commitment to delivering adaptive and relevant higher education. Through a series of internship monitoring and evaluation activities, FPK UNAIR ensures that students gain real industry experience while simultaneously fostering stronger collaborations with fisheries-related industries.

Internship programs (PKL) are a mandatory academic requirement for FPK UNAIR students, both from the Aquaculture and Fisheries Product Technology study programs. On August 27–28, 2025, lecturers and academic staff visited three partner locations: CV Putra Mandiri Jaya (Rembang), PT Dua Putra Utama Makmur (Pati), and the Center for Brackishwater Aquaculture (BBPBAP) Jepara.
The main objectives of these visits were to assess the suitability of internship sites, gather feedback from partners, and explore formal cooperation opportunities through draft agreements.

Their mission was to gather insights on student performance while bridging academic needs with industrial expectations.
Towards Institutional Partnership
Beyond technical evaluation, the monitoring activities also opened doors for institutional partnerships. Draft cooperation agreements (PKS) were offered to partner companies as a tangible step toward long-term synergy.
Through this effort, FPK UNAIR aims to continuously enhance internship quality and provide students with broader access to the professional fisheries sector.
